When it comes to the nurse residency programs at Northside, we knew that the COVID-19 pandemic would present new challenges for the Fall 2020 cohort. These Northside newcomers are having a nurse residency unlike any other, so we wanted to hear their thoughts on working at Northside in the midst of COVID-19. Here’s what they had to say:
Sarina
Northside Hospital Atlanta- BMT
Working as a new grad in the midst of this pandemic has been both challenging and rewarding. I have been able to see our Northside team come together and support each other during this trying time.
Alexia
Northside Hospital Cherokee
The veteran nurses, management, and overall care team offer a supportive environment, contrary to the belief that “baby nurses” are often left to fend for themselves. My team has been nothing but understanding and supportive. I feel as though my fellow coworkers truly want me to succeed through the residency program.
Daniel
Northside Hospital Forsyth
I feel safe working for a company such as Northside during this pandemic. Being a nurse is truly amazing and so rewarding.
Brittoria
Northside Hospital Atlanta
Rewarding. I’m thankful for how nursing school and the training I am getting is preparing me for the changes in the hospital.
Lina
Northside Hospital Atlanta
Working as a new grad nurse in the midst of COVID-19 has been challenging to say the least but I’m also really grateful. To be able to adapt during high stress moments has helped me become a better nurse.
