Why I Stayed at Northside: When I first walked into Northside in 1984, I had no idea that Northside would become my long-term professional home. I can honestly say, I cherished every day I came to work. From day one, Northside’s core values aligned with my professional ethics and values.
Someone who helped my professional development: I was fortunate to work with our Mental Health Medical Director, Dr. Patrick Malone, who worked for Northside for 30 years. Dr. Malone taught and modeled the importance of presence, compassion and clinical directness in supporting a patient’s healing and personal growth. He was a brilliant teacher and made an indelible impression on me as a person, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. His gifts are the “gifts that keep on giving.”
